Barry serves as an Executive Vice President and Head of Capital Markets at Desert Rose Capital Management. His focus includes expanding the Firm’s Institutional and Ultra High Net Worth capital raising mandates, including structuring and securitization solutions, and scaling into new markets.

Barry has extensive experience in capital markets, structuring, capital raising, and executive management that was accumulated during more than 20 years at prestigious investment banking firms including Guggenheim Partners, Cohen & Company Securities, and Keefe, Bruyette, & Woods (KBW).

At KBW, Barry helped architect and pioneer the securitization of Trust Preferred Securities, helping scale it into a $60BB asset class. At Cohen & Company, Barry built and managed the firm’s fixed income trading and capital markets businesses. He successfully built a global structured and esoteric credit franchise. During his tenure, the firm completed dozens of new-issue securitizations, developed a specialization in the trading and marketing of complex fixed income securities, and progressively scaled revenue year-over-year. Most recently, Barry served as Founder and Managing Partner of Two River Ventures LLC, a structuring and capital advisory firm that provided non-dilutive growth capital solutions to fast-growing technology and ESG companies.

Barry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Finance from Seton Hall University and completed post graduate studies at New York University.

In his free time, Barry enjoys biking and exploring the many beautiful nature preserves in and around Sarasota, Florida with his family.
